Day 1: A Joyful Beginning
A pleasant morning greeted us as excitement filled the air. The participants and spokespersons had already arrived the previous evening, ensuring a fresh and energized start to the day. We kicked off with Rise and Shine, followed by Quiet Time (QT), setting the spiritual tone for the day.
After nourishing our souls, it was time to nourish our bodies with a wonderful breakfast, which prepared us for the next uplifting moment—a soulful singing session led by students from the fresh mountain ranges of Kalimpong, also known as the "Ridges where we play." Their melodious voices set a serene and worshipful atmosphere.
Next, we dived into a Doctrinal Session with Brother Shashank S. Rawat, enriching our understanding of faith. After a short break, Sister Rachel took the stage for a Handbook Session, helping us navigate its depth with clarity.
Tea lovers rejoiced with a warm cup of tea—a much-needed refreshment that lifted both our spirits and taste buds. Energized once again, we moved on to Personal Bible Study (PBS), led by Brother Lamminlun Haokip, a truly engaging and insightful session.
Lunch was served, and we relished the deliciously prepared meal, followed by some well-deserved rest. In the afternoon, we were greeted by a beautiful time of singing from Team 4 – The Dynamic JALS, preparing our hearts for the next session.
Sister Leegain then led a thought-provoking Practical Talk on "Temptation." Her insights were not only relatable but also left us with much to ponder. As the session concluded, we dispersed for another exciting round of "Tea by Two"—a special time to interact with students, pray for one another, and, of course, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea. Then came game time, led by our talented Brother Satish, where laughter and fun echoed through the venue. The enthusiasm of the students made this session truly memorable!
After a short break, we gathered for our evening session, where Team 4 – The Dynamic JALS once again led us in singing, preparing us for a time of devotion. Brother Simon delivered an impactful message on Discipleship, followed by a moment of reflection and group activities. As the day came to a close, Brother Shashank prayed for us before dinner, and we ended the night with a brief assignment session, wrapping up an inspiring and fulfilling first day.
Day 2: A Day of Deep Learning and Fellowship
After a day filled with learning, laughter, and meaningful interactions, everyone had a good night's sleep, ready for yet another exciting day of camp! The morning began with Quiet Time (QT), followed by a hearty breakfast. Then, Team Praise led us into a time of worship singing, setting the perfect tone for the day.
Once again, Brother Lamminlun Haokip led us through another engaging Personal Bible Study (PBS) session. After a refreshing tea break, Sister Rachel guided us through another Handbook session.
Next came another insightful Doctrinal Session, led by Brother Shashank, deepening our faith and understanding while ensuring we grasped its essence.
After an enriching discussion, it was time for lunch, which, as always, was deliciously prepared.
Following some much-needed rest, we reassembled for our afternoon sessions, with Team Praise leading us in a joyful time of singing. Then came a powerful Practical Talk on Stewardship, led by Brother Satish. This session was particularly engaging as students presented skits, making the learning experience even more relatable and impactful.
Once again, it was time for Tea by Two—a moment to connect personally with students and graduates over a warm cup of tea. The games session, this time led by Sister Grace, was another highlight of the day, filling the air with joy and excitement. After a short break, we gathered for the evening session, where Team Praise led us in singing, preparing our hearts for devotion. Brother Simon then spoke on "The Cost of Discipleship." We ended the session with group activities and discussions, after which we headed for dinner. The day concluded with assignment time, marking the end of another fulfilling day at camp.
Day 3: The Grand Finale
After two days of continuous learning, worship, and fellowship, we arrived at the final day of our Discipleship Training Camp. We began the morning by seeking and spending time with God through Quiet Time (QT), followed by a lovely breakfast. For our last day, Team Spring led us in a wonderful time of singing, filling the room with heartfelt worship.
Our first session was a Doctrinal teaching by Brother Shashank, giving us one last opportunity to absorb biblical wisdom. After a tea break, we moved on to our final Practical Session, led by Sister Ushia. Her session was not just informative but also highly impactful, leaving us with practical takeaways.
Then came another tea break, followed by the final session of the camp, led by Brother Simon, on "Serving Society as a Disciple." This was a fitting conclusion, reminding us that discipleship is not just about learning but also about living out our faith in the world.
Before parting ways, we had a special time of facilitation, where Brother Prem gave a heartfelt Vote of Thanks. As a token of encouragement, we also distributed gifts to our students, celebrating their journey of learning and growth. The camp ended with a closing prayer, marking the end of a truly blessed and transformational experience.
Final Reflections
DTC 2025 was not just an event—it was a journey of faith, fellowship, and growth. From inspiring sessions and engaging activities to heartfelt worship and, of course, tea breaks that brought us all closer, every moment was special. As we left the venue, we carried with us newfound knowledge, friendships, and a renewed commitment to discipleship.
Thank you.
